NB Swink LLC started out of our founders’ own needs for support while navigating the uncertainty and anxiety of caring for aging loved ones. That’s why we’re so committed to providing excellent, consistent, and comprehensive at-home care.
From a young age, our founder Nancy Swink had very strong relationships with her grandparents and even a deeper bond caring for her great-grandmother early enough in life.
Nancy and her grandmother enjoyed an exceptionally close bond. They experienced so much together, with her often staying the night at her house, going to hockey games with her, and enjoying her fried chicken. Eventually, Nancy grew up and moved out of state while her grandmother kept aging in place till she passed on comfortably at home.
NB Swink LLC was something Nancy began exploring when her great-grandmother – who lived to 102 – found herself in an unhappy nursing home environment. It was evident that she didn’t want to be there. Nancy knew that it didn’t have to be that way, for her family or for any other senior in need of care.
Also, she spent time golfing, fishing, and camping with her grandfather, which was a foundational part of Nancy’s life. With so few family members living locally, Nancy saw firsthand how challenging senior care can be when caregiving responsibilities can’t be shared.
NB Swink LLC is created to deliver the same level of care she’d provide her grandparents to seniors in the North Carolina environ. She knew that the at home care system needed to be better and created services that worked for families just like hers. NB Swink LLC focus on compassion and service helps us fulfill our founders’ mission: keeping seniors – and all of their loved ones – safe and happy at home.
